Sowed the following on September 13. Unless otherwise noted, seed was sourced from MSG and germinated indoors under lights in about a week on Uhlig Kakteen's substrate for cuttings (pumice, zeolite, sand). Seedlings were mulched with quartz when large enough.
- Muiria hortenseae x9: 8 germinated almost immediately, all still healthy. Seed from Steven Hammer.
- Lithops gesinae ex C406 x15: 13 germinated, 12 still alive
- Lithops coleorum ex C396 x15: 14 germinated, 13 still alive
- Lithops hallii v. ochraceae ex C303 x16: 9 germinated after 2 weeks and are alive but all look frail and are growing slowly
- Lithops hookeri cv. "Annarosa" x15: 12 germinated, 10 still alive
- Lithops bromfieldii cv. "Embers" x16: 15 germinated, 7 still alive. Very prone to disappearing during the night but the remaining seedlings seem more robust.
The Pleiospilos and Monilaria seedlings from August are doing well. The Dinteranthus is an absolute disaster -- I may have overwatered because all of them except one died in the last week, and the remaining one has rupture scars. If it dies I'll wait til summer to retry the remainder of my seed.
